What about the Cowshedboys suprised you didn't have them on yer list. For numbers they certainly had the most by far, but for quality i'd have to agree with the HYC

a lot over here looking forward to it as well. your fixture seems to be the only one worth bothering about anymore, as there's only you lot turning up regularly, and normally without the accompanying police escort

Hudds Firms over the years Empty Re: Hudds Firms over the years

My opinion about the firms of hudds in recent years. In my view its between the hyc and the hys. Both were top mobs on there day and that showed when they came together they were a force eg 250 to burnley 200 to hull they were the days. Sadley you struggle to find any hyc present match days at present you might find the odd one here and there but most of main faces of the hyc havent been since hull away. The turn outs from both yc and ys have been getting worse from season to season. Only promotion to championship would bring back the proper turn outs again i think. But with that looking unlikely for a some time and most of the yc lads pushing 40 plus and the ys 30 plus age wise it may not happen again producing the firms we have seen in the past. In my opinion the hyc put hudds on the map in the 90s and were very active and well represented on the England front. At home the hyc and hudds were a force to be reckoned with threw out the 90s has the zulus stoke man city and many many more found out the man city game on the friday night in 98 99 season fuck me im not lieing in saying we had 300 plus out. The rucks with barnsley threw the 90s were top notch to they had a good solid firm at the time to. The only complaint i ever had about the hyc they werent very good travelers in my opinion. When they did travel the firm was good and tight but didnt travel enough for a firm that was quality at home. The hys in the early days went every where and started getting the recognition from other firms and the hyc after about a 2 seasons of makeing alot of noise around the country and england home games especialy the England turkey game in sunderland and the england finland game in Liverpool were a young ys came face to face with man utds main firm and had a go not very clever at the time due to being out numberd 2 to 1 and getting done in the end but thats what the ys were about. Suddenly from haveing not many firms comeing to hudds we had 4 or 5 mobs a season comeing threw town wanting a pop at this cheeky firm that had been on there manor. The ys continued traveling season after season and not just showing up makeing the effort trying to get it on no matter what it took at the time remember takeing 70 lads to cardiff 3 days after crimbo that was an effort for the time of year. I remember our football copper at the time said to some of the lads that some times he didnt have a clue were we was or what we were up to till it was going off Smile. The only thing the hys didnt have that the hyc did in there primes were the numbers. But like i said when both came together has 1 mob we had one hell of a crew that would of took some stopping. So there the reasons why i think these two mobs were the best to come out of hudds just my opinion again lads others will have diffrent.

Hudds Firms over the years Empty hudds lads

personally id have to put yc at the top of the tree of lads who followed town. we grew up together as one in the early 80s when it matterd, every team seemed to bring a mob to old leeds rd,and we slowly but surely we got involved with the older lot, then on our own. the dog&gun days, upstairs in swan, our out of town trips, blackburn/donny etc where everyone had to get involved lol bring back some good memories. our clashes with town older boys/visits from slaithewaite lads etc...good times.
id say though that the kenmargra boys were a top game lot when they were out, and some STILL ARE LOL.
respect to everyone and lets hope we take off in 09. Laughing

Top post yc86, those were well and truly the days, like you've said we all grew up together in a time when fv was at its peek 85 or so i think i got into it at the tender age of 15, running around in my tachini roll neck farah's and sky blue gazelle, drinking in the dog n gun upstairs in swan and down at the broadway top of leeds road on matchdays, running roits through the market and fighting the length of leeds road to get to the game, i remember the zulu's on leeds road and leeds service crew swamping our town, bradfords ointment were always a top mob back then, but then there was the likes of newcastles visit one year, and chelsea, and pompy last match of season, every game we invaded the pitch after moving around the ground and ending up in the cowshed just before full time

Heres a few of our old haunts, should get the memmorys flowing
